INTRODUCTION:
The present Obokun Local Government, with its headquarters at Ibokun, was created in May 1989 out of the defunct Obokun Local Government, which had its headquarters at Ijebu-jesa. At present, Obokun Local Government is made up of 10 wards.
Ifelodun and Boripe Local Government area are Obokun Local Government’s neighbours by the morth-western side; Ondo State on the north-east; Oriade and Ilesa West Local Government Area respectively on the south and south-western sides. Ila Local Government shares boundary with Obokun Local Governmnet on the Northern axis, while Osogbo and Atakumosa West Local Government Area are on the west and south-west axis respectively. |
